The Northampton Center for the Arts presents Home as Counterpoint, a group exhibition featuring the works of Adeyemi Adebayo, Bo Kim, and Josue Salazar. This exhibition brings together three artists from different countries and continents, all currently residing in the United States, as they explore their interpretations of home. Their works resonate with themes of cultural hybridity, binational identity, and the liminal identities of the postcolonial African diaspora.
Join us at the Split Level Gallery for Worlds in Pieces, featuring works by Kristi W. Colbert and Jodi Hoover. In a world increasingly affected by upheaval and destruction, the concept of place sits at the intersection of fragility and resilience. How and where do we find belonging? Through the use of collage and mixed media, Colbert and Hoover create real and imagined landscapes that delve into our hopes and fears for the world.
