The Summer “Fill the Flex” initiative includes three complementary rental offerings designed to increase utilization, improve affordability for artists, and generate additional earned revenue.

Sale runs: June 1st - September 6th, 2026

Option 1: The "Summer Spotlight" (Staffed)

Evening and weekend bookings or those requiring tech.

Standard/Large Nonprofit: $95/hr (normally $125)
Small Nonprofit: $70/hr (normally $90)
Individual Artist: $50/hr (normally $65)

All risers and cleaning fees still apply.

Openings are first-come, first-served.
Minimum 2 hour rental.

Option 2: The "Flex Unplugged" (Unstaffed)

Time Frame: Wed-Sat, 12:30pm-6:30pm only.

We offer a "DIY" experience for Individual Artists for rehearsals and classes that don't require tech support during our open hours. 

Rate: $25/hr (Individual Artist)
Conditions: House lights only; no sound system or projection; no NCFA staff on-site assigned to the rental. Low amplified sound permitted, please be mindful of our NTP

Option 3: The "Flex Lab” Mini Residency" (Unstaffed)

This incubator opportunity builds on the “Unplugged” model for Individual Artists. This is best suited for rehearsals and process time that don't require tech support.

  • 25-hour rehearsal package for $500, must be booked all within one week, additional hours available at $20/hr

  • Conditions: House lights only; no sound system or projection; no NCFA staff on-site assigned to the rental. Low amplified sound permitted, please be mindful of our Noise Transfer Policy.

Openings are first-come, first-served. 

Especially attractive for: dance, theater devising, experimental work, and solo performers.
