About the instructor/organizer: Chance Bushman is a swing dancer, instructor, performer, musician, and songwriter with more than 20 years' experience teaching, competing, performing, and creating within the world of swing and blues dance. Known for his dynamic performances, engaging teaching style, and innovative approach to movement, Chance has performed and taught internationally and is widely recognized for his contributions to the blues dance community, including coining and helping to popularize the term “drag blues.” A passionate teacher, he brings a focus on musicality, individuality, connection, and helping students discover their own voice on the dance floor. As a musician, Chance is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter whose repertoire draws from traditional American music, New Orleans influences, modern covers, and original songs. Whether teaching a class, performing on stage, or bringing live music to an event, Chance combines energy, authenticity, and a deep love of connection to create memorable experiences for audiences and students alike.
