The Luigi Jazz Technique was mindfully created by world-renowned teacher, performer and choreographer, Luigi, to help rehabilitate the body as said by Luigi “by feeling from the inside”. Movements and exercises that are designed to help stretch and strengthen your muscles as well as strengthening your mind and balance. This jazz class is welcoming, fun, healthy and elegant; and is for all levels from absolute beginner to professional.

Every class starts with the Luigi warmup: a sequence of exercises to slowly warm up the body. We will be guided by Luigi’s voice to beautifully composed and conducted jazz music by Johnny Varro. Then, to strengthen the mind, a short piece of choreography is broken down step by step set to music from geniuses including Oscar Peterson Trio, Frank Sinatra and Eydie Gormé.

From the instructor: My name is Megan. I studied in New York City with Luigi, the creator of this incredibly beautiful technique, starting at 9 years old. The Luigi jazz technique has had and continues to have such a profound impact in my life as a dancer and as a body who wants to continue to move and strengthen. I am so grateful to be able to share the Luigi technique. My goal as a teacher and a carrier of the Luigi legacy is to is to help dancers and moving bodies to keep moving. Luigi always said; “ Never Stop Moving”.
