Potter and tea enjoyer Sam Friedland (Forgotten Brew) will host a free, 45-minute tea service, during which attendees will taste a variety of teas and gain a deeper appreciation for this very special leaf.
Redgester for your 45-minute tea service at either the 3 PM, 4 PM, or 5 PM time slot.
Space is limited. If you’d like a friend or group to join you, send them the link to register for the same time slot. This is an open tea service, and any additional seats at your time of registration may be filled by other community members. Tea is an opportunity to share space and time, so mutual respect and patience are appreciated.
Additional information:
Please wear comfortable clothing, as we will be seated on floor cushions during the event. I’m happy to make accommodations for attendees who are unable to sit on the floor, or who are more comfortable in a chair or standing.
Sam Friedland is a tea drinker, experimental musician, and the potter behind Forgotten Brew. Trained as a performing artist (BA jazz studies, MFA Experimental Sound Practices) and possessing the cognitive gift of ADHD, Sam is drawn to temporal artways as a means to calibrate their bodymind to time and space. They enjoy thinking/reading/writing about time, and see pottery as a bridge between internal, biological time and deep, geological time. Sam’s current work consists of teaware framed as instruments: the work isn’t finished until we are all drinking tea together, activating the objects with the collaborative and improvisational music of community.
