An evening figure drawing class designed to be welcoming toward the experienced and novice alike. A nude (occasionally costumed) model will take on a number of poses of varying length and complexity, the artists left up to their own devices when it comes to their artistic approach. A variety of materials will be provided, from paper to pencils, to markers, to crayons, but feel free to bring your own. Instruction can be provided by the host, but more than willing to leave you be if that is what you wish! Tables and chairs are provided, doors open at 6, posing officially starts at 6:15 and ends at 7:45.

About the instructor: My name is Jared Rosen, I’ve been a professional illustrator since 2014 and have worked as a figure drawing instructor in NYC since 2018. I trained as a figure drawing artist under the late Jeffery K Fisher at his Long Island Drawing Studio from the time I was a teenager to his passing. While my approach to figure drawing has root in artistic exploration, it has since grown into the desire to understand others utilizing the one constant between all people, the human form.
