No Matter the Odds is a documentary by 406Up Films about the 2015-2016 season of the tinydance project, and the company members' efforts to explore what it could mean to create a sustainable model for a dance company. Ten years later, director Kelly Silliman is working on a new project, The DIY Guide to Life and Death, still exploring many of the same themes of community, sustainability, and approaching the future with both realism and joy. Come join us for a screening of this film, enjoy homemade popcorn, and meet collaborators past and present. All proceeds from this event will go towards paying collaborators for the March 2027 performance of The DIY Guide!

the tinydance project (2012-2022): Conceived and directed by Kelly Silliman, the tinydance project was a professional performance ensemble based in Western Mass that began with the question of what dance and performance art would look like without the high-tech resources currently available to us. Tinydance performances were presented outdoors in public spaces and collaborators sang their own accompaniment, all on a 4’ by 8’ or  8' round stage towed by bicycle to venues.

The DIY Guide to Life and Death (2025-2028): Do you need a little laugh and a little rest? Maybe you are wondering how to get along with others or survive the apocalypse? The DIY Guide to Life and Death is a dance theater presentation for anyone looking for a little more creativity, conversation, community, and good cheer in their lives. The next iteration of this project will be performed March 26-27, 2027 in Northampton, MA.
