Come join artist and author Lindsay Whiting as she facilitates the spontaneous and creatively fulfilling experience of working with cut-magazine collage.

This is not your usual technique/critique session! Instead, we’ll focus on experimenting with hands-on practice. The workshop will focus on making satisfying artwork using images from magazines, calendars, and recycled publications.

No previous art experience is needed, just a willingness to explore and have fun.

Materials are provided, including magazines, mat board, glue, scissors and X-Acto blades. You are also welcome to bring your own tools, favorite images, magazines, or calendars to use in your collage.

About the instructor: Lindsay Whiting practiced collage at the Sonoma Collage Studio for six years and found the work to be so engaging that she was inspired to write a book about the experience. Her story, Living into Art, Journeys Through Collage was named a finalist in Foreword Book of the Year Award in 2008.
