Kick off the new year with an energizing month of drawing, painting, or sculpting at Northampton Center for the Arts at 33 Hawley! This January, we’re launching the Thursday Art Group! We will be dividing Eli's Room into two areas, each with its own model. One area will be set up for figure and the other for seated portrait. Artists will work from one pose the entire month.

The fee to sign up for the month is $75, and the first 20 artists to sign up will have a reserved spot for the month. Our supply of easels and small tables is limited. Drop-ins are welcome at $15 per session.

Artists are welcome to work in the medium of their choice - charcoal, pencil, ink, paint, or clay - provided that materials are scent-free and workspaces are fully cleaned at the end of each session. Once the pose and lighting are finalized, we’ll draw numbers from a hat to determine studio placement, ensuring a fair and spirited start for everyone.
