Whoever said women aren’t funny will be eating their hat on Friday, May 30, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. when FUNNY FRIDAYS presents an evening of diverse hilarity delivered by the “Females of FUNNY FRIDAYS.” These women can do it all: stand-up comedy, short-form improvisation, and an improvised sit-com. It’s a night of laughter in three parts:

~~Celebrated stand-up comedian Maria Ciampa brings the laughs from Boston just for Valley audiences. Maria was the June 2007 Comic-in-Residence at the Comedy Studio in Harvard Square, and a Mainstage cast member of Improv Asylum from 2005-2006.

~~Local funny women The Ha-Ha Sisterhood perform a short-form improvised show where the laughter never ceases. Known for using their comedy draw to benefit important local causes, these comedy divas wow their audiences with a fast-paced, hysterically funny show. Though their art is off-the-cuff, The Ha-Ha Sisterhood’s entertainment value is always reliable.

~~Road trip! ImprovBoston hits the highway with their RUSH show, a totally improvised, behind the scenes look at the uproarious life of sorority girls. Ever wonder how they make “crucial” life decisions about boys, friends, shopping, and parties? Join the girls of the Iota Beta Gamma sorority of ImprovBoston and learn about the secret life of a sorority girl! Who knows…by the end of the night you might be one of them!
